Aotea Centre is set to come alive on New Year’s Eve with amazing local entertainment and stunning light displays for the 6th Annual First Night® celebration.

First Night® Auckland 2006, a free event aimed at families, features local musicians including Breaks Co-op, Anika Moa, Nathan Haines, One Million Dollars, Dunc tha Func and Hot Grits.

With summer raising her head to reveal fine skies and high temperatures, it’s time to lift the lid on the third and final round of additions to the Big Day Out 2006 guest list.

A second batch of student illustration from Lumière's collaboration with Massey University's Foundation Certificate in Design course. New movie-inspired illustration includes Dog Day Afternoon and Raising Arizona, among others. Those curious about the gig can read the student's brief and sample previous year's work here.
